OUR WINES

Wines from the heart where the forest meets the sea

Passage Rock Wines offer you a journey through a wine degustation treat: well made wines expressing the fantastic fruit offered by our local climates and the finest touch of the wine maker. Our award winning wines are fruit driven, backed by quality winemaking and the use of fine grained oak barrels. Our winery successes speak for themselves.

AWARD WINNING SELECTION

Sample our extensive range of excellent wines including the Island’s most decorated Syrah.

SYRAH

Our Syrah is recognized as one of the New Zealand’s finest. With an incredible 18 gold medals since 2004, it has been ranked in New Zealand’s top 5 Syrahs for nearly a decade now.

VIOGNIER

Our Viognier is made to retain the beautiful aromatics of the variety with a structure that lasts 4 to 5 years. It took out the Australasian Aromatic Trophy in Winestate Magazine and the Best Aromatic in the royal new Zealand Easter show 2013.

CHARDONNAYS

Our gold medal winning Chardonnay delivers textually toasty salted caramel notes. These notes are well balanced with delicate spring blossom florals, lime citrus and poached peach stone fruit. This Chardonnay offers complexity and depth.

UNIQUE VINTAGE

We make 2 excellent blends with Cabernet and Merlot. Sisters is our entry level blend but it’s certainly one of our most popular wines, consistently pleasing the senses with each unique vintage.

RESERVE CABERNET MERLOT

Our Reserve Cabernet Merlot ranks among the best from the Island. We only release this wine when the season allows, which is about 4 times per decade.

PINOT GRIS

Our Pinot Gris goes from strength to strength regularly picking up awards, and is quickly becoming one of our most popular wines.
