Trained in Germany, with a bachelor degree in hotel management, Nadine left for Switzerland to meet her husband Stefan. Together they took on the journey to New Zealand for their OE and they fell in love with the people, the culture, the country and the opportunities. After a year in Auckland and 6 months travelling through south east Asia, they decided it is time to go back to Switzerland to “earn and save” money to come back one day and open a restaurant in NZ. In 2007 that time had come and they returned with a dream. 12 months later that dream came true and they opened PURE Restaurant in Herne Bay. Their passion for hospitality, food and customer service was welcomed and acknowledged by their loyal regular customers as well as the well-known food magazines in NZ. When their second child arrived it was time to spend more time with the children and the hard decision was made to sell PURE after 5 successful years. Now, working for Passage Rock Wines and passing on the stories about living a dream, Nadine enjoys being still close to the restaurant scene and sharing her knowledge about matching food with Passage Rock wines.
