Charity Preece

Restaurant & Events Manager

Born in Dunedin 1982, David moved to Central Otago in 2000 where he quickly found his passion for Viticulture working for small to medium sized wine producers.
His interest shifted early on to growing wine grapes using Organic methods. David undertook some formal studies in Viticulture as well as recieving mentoring from some well respected Viticulturists around the Central Otago region. In 2012 David won the Trophy for Central Otago Young Viticulturist of the Year in his 4th attempt at the competition coming 3rd twice and then runner up 2011, each year honing his skills and knowledge. In 2013 David jumped at the opportunity to move with his young family to live on Waiheke and take on the challenge of the different climate and varieties and work with one of our countries top botique wine producers.

David Salmon

Vineyard Manager

Daniel hails from Christchurch having recently arrived on Waiheke with his wife. They had previously holidayed on Waiheke and fell in love with the weather, lifestyle and fishing.

He has lived and worked as a chef for many years around New Zealand and overseas including London, Greece & Australia. He brings with him a wealth of enthusiasm for local fresh New Zealand produce and felt that Waiheke Island & particularly Passage Rock offered a wonderful fit.

The team at Passage Rock are very excited about his new creative vision for the menu. His menu exhibits Mediterranean flare coupled with fresh contemporary New Zealand style with a focus on seasonal fresh ingredients.

Linda Jones

Sales & Marketing Manager

Trained in Germany, with a bachelor degree in hotel management, Nadine left for Switzerland to meet her husband Stefan. Together they took on the journey to New Zealand for their OE and they fell in love with the people, the culture, the country and the opportunities. After a year in Auckland and 6 months travelling through south east Asia, they decided it is time to go back to Switzerland to “earn and save” money to come back one day and open a restaurant in NZ. In 2007 that time had come and they returned with a dream. 12 months later that dream came true and they opened PURE Restaurant in Herne Bay. Their passion for hospitality, food and customer service was welcomed and acknowledged by their loyal regular customers as well as the well-known food magazines in NZ. When their second child arrived it was time to spend more time with the children and the hard decision was made to sell PURE after 5 successful years. Now, working for Passage Rock Wines and passing on the stories about living a dream, Nadine enjoys being still close to the restaurant scene and sharing her knowledge about matching food with Passage Rock wines. Living on the Shore gives her the ability to be flexible and to ensure her clients a stress-free service.
